dancing with myself

there is a world outside my window all sunny and cotton candy clouds and warm grounds that you can do tiptap dancing on even when you are on your way home with the birds waking up.
when the stars align I am a world to myself, an island, a country whose cartography has not yet been written. I'm following the paths of my body with my fingertips, putting little pins on the places I want to explore. 
these days I feel like I might be a new person with every morning I open my eyes. sometimes I forget how lucky I am. living in the little house next to the wooden souls and the daisy lawns that tickle my soles just across the street that gets so quiet at night, you can hear the moon whisper banjo music of the old loves she has seen. I get restless in the witching hours, my mind on djungle trails and wilderness.
sometimes I grab a mood and put it in my pocket, like a seed that will grow into a song when I water it with words and melodies. I have bouquets of songs the color of roses in the morning and deep waters.
